Preparing for Civic Responsibility provides a framework for K–12 media literacy education for librarians, teachers, school and district administrators, school board members, and the educators and policymakers involved in creating state education standards or teaching pre-service courses for education professionals. It looks at media literacy education from the vantage point of New York State educators, though education professionals in other states and nations will likely find ideas and strategies that apply to their work.
