Stimson Center Turns 25
Grantees in this story
In 1989, Carnegie Corporation of New York gave an initial grant, "Avoiding Nuclear War," to the Stimson center to support its work in providing policy alternatives, solving problems, and overcoming obstacles to a more peaceful and secure world. Carnegie and Stimson have remained partners ever since, with almost 30 grants totaling more than $8 million. Read the “Spotlight” by Cheryl L. Ramp, Executive Vice President and COO of the organization, graciously crediting the Corporation’s “early and steady confidence” in their work for the strong start and achievements along the way.
