Sree Sreenivasan

Named one of the twenty most influential South Asians in the U.S. by Newsweek in 2004, tech guru Sree Sreenivasan is the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s first Chief Digital Officer. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he received his master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and afterward served there as a professor, a dean, and as its own first Chief Digital Officer. He is a pioneer of using social and digital media as means of engagement, education, and storytelling. In addition, he has worked as a tech reporter for ABC and NBC, and helped to create DNAinfo.com, which was named one of the six hottest new startups by Business Insider in 2010. Updated 2013
