Eric Gertler

Eric Gertler has held leadership roles in the business, government, and nonprofit sectors. Currently, Eric is Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. News & World Report. Previously, Eric served as Commissioner/President & CEO-designate of Empire State Development (ESD), New York State’s principal economic development agency, prior to and during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also was Executive Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and Managing Director of the Center for Economic Transformation under multiple mayoral administrations. Updated May 2024
