Jack Duran is the manager of design and multimedia in the Communications department. Duran is a social impact designer, producer, and researcher whose experience includes working with mission-driven organizations to effect narrative change around their work through compelling visual storytelling. He has served as the lead creative producer for a range of national nonprofits and initiatives, including the Vera Institute of Justice and the Justice Collaborative. Most recently, he worked as a design consultant with the Columbia University Justice Lab and Catalyze Justice — elevating their brands and helping them visually connect with audiences in their efforts to inform, inspire, and mobilize the public, donors, and government leaders to act on critical issues.
Holding a BA in international relations and Middle East studies from Drew University, Duran is currently completing an MA in media studies at the New School in New York City.
