Police and Immigration: How Chiefs Are Leading their Communities through the Challenges

Local police chiefs increasingly are being drawn into the national debate about how to enforce federal immigration laws and in some cases are taking strong leadership roles in defining appropriate roles for local law enforcement, according to a new report by the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF).
