Bridging the Gap: A Future Security Architecture for the Middle East

Feldman, a longtime researcher at the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies in Tel Aviv, and Toukan, science adviser to King Hussein, team up for this short study under the auspices of the Carnegie Commission on Preventing Deadly Conflict. They co-author a succinct review of the several bilateral and multilateral Israeli-Arab groups set up after the 1991 Madrid conference. Then Feldman presents a clear account of Israeli security perceptions and policies. Toukan follows with the same for the Arabs.
