On March 20, 2020, a group of donors — including Bloomberg Philanthropies, Carnegie Corporation of New York, Ford Foundation, and more — announced the launch of the NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund. Managed by the New York Community Trust (NYCT), the fund provided emergency financial support to help small and mid-sized nonprofits respond to emerging needs, cover losses associated with the disruption of their operations, and continue their critical work.

We are pleased to share Resilience & Resolve, a report produced by NYCT, detailing the scope and impact of this historic fund, which distributed more than $110 million in grants and loans to nearly 800 nonprofits.

This report provides a closer look at the Fund’s grant program, the nonprofits it supported, and the road ahead. To learn more about the loan program, visit Nonprofit Finance Fund.
