New American Workforce Partners Honored

Five New American Workforce partners were honored last week by the White House initiative Champions for Change for their efforts to help the country prepare immigrant workers for citizenship. The businesses were part of the National Immigration Forum’s New American Workforce initiative (formerly known as the Bethlehem Project) which helps businesses around the country assist their eligible immigrant employees with the citizenship process. The project is operational in 7 cities with high concentrations of legal permanent residents.

The Champions of Change program was created by the White House as an opportunity to feature individuals doing extraordinary things to empower and inspire members of their communities. The honor was bestowed on the five businesses as exemplars in promoting citizenship in the workplace. Learn more about how these “Champions” are helping immigrant workers achieve their goal of permanent citizenship.
