Laurence Ralph, a 2015 Andrew Carnegie Fellow, went to great lengths to truly understand the problems that plague inner-city Chicago. He took the bold step of moving into one of the most afflicted neighborhoods, and his book, Renegade Dreams, is an eye-opening read about his experience.
