Alvin Chang, a graphics reporter for VOX, used data from Migration Policy Institute, a Carnegie Corporation of New York grantee, the Department of Homeland Security, Pew Research Center, and Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, to fuel this elegant interactive representation of 200 years of legal immigration to the United States.
