Are We Losing the Knowledge Wars?

Leaders from higher education, state and federal government, philanthropy, and business met at the Time Summit on Higher Education, Sept. 19–20, 2013, to discuss the American university as a driver of research and education for the nation, threats to the university’s continued excellence, and ideas for innovation and reinvention to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

Carnegie Corporation of New York co-sponsored the summit with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlitt Foundation.
