A Way Forward: Solving the Challenges of the News Frontier, a Journalism Summit, to be Streamed Live Thursday, Friday

On Thursday and Friday Carnegie Corporation, in partnership with The Paley Center for Media, will host a summit to discuss the state of the news industry and how journalism education should transform in order to best prepare students for careers in the 21st century.

Select session from the summit, will be streamed live.  For a complete agenda and links to the live stream click here.

This conference brings together deans, professors, and students from leading journalism schools, as well as senior business and news executives. This program is an extension of the Carnegie-Knight Initiative on the Future of Journalism Education, a groundbreaking partnership between Carnegie Corporation and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, focused on helping journalism schools enrich their programs to improve and spur a national conversation on the importance of journalism education.

The Paley Center for Media, as a leader in the discussion about media’s cultural, creative, and social significance, is proud to be part of this initiative. The Paley Center has historically provided an independent setting for such high-level discussions, facilitating open debate and, thereby, advancement on the crucial issues facing media today.
