In addition to organizing a world class symposium, EPIIC students at Tuft’s University have the opportunity to conduct research on a topic of their choice related to the program’s year-long theme. Here, students Adriana Guardans-Godo, Mile Krstev, and Thorunn Sigurdardottir give a presentation about their individual research on the European migration crisis. Over winter break, each traveled to a case study country – Spain, the UK, and Macedonia – to meet and talk to people directly affected by the crisis. By putting undergraduate students in leadership positions, the EPIIC program raises the bar of expectations for what they can accomplish, and every year they meet those expectations with flying colors.
