Felix G. Rohatyn

From 1975 to 1993, Felix G. Rohatyn served as chairman of the Municipal Assistance Corporation of the State of New York where he led New York City out of its financial crisis in the 1970s, allowing it to avoid bankruptcy. In 1990 he was awarded the Gold Medal by the 100 Year Association of New York for his civil service. He also served as the U.S. Ambassador to France from 1997 to 2000, in the Clinton administration.
