Angela Lansbury

Acclaimed film and stage actor Angela Lansbury immigrated in 1940 to the United States, where she signed to MGM for her first film roles. After success playing roles such as a suicidal college student in The Picture of Dorian Gray, and a diabolical mother in The Manchurian Candidate, she won global fame as the star of the television series Murder, She Wrote, for which she was executive producer in the final four seasons. She is the winner of five Tony Awards, six Golden Globes, and was given the Honorary Oscar Award for her film career in 2013. Updated 2012
