Sara Sands is a program assistant within the Corporation’s Education program, where she supports the Leadership and Teaching to Advance Learning portfolio and the work of Program Director Jim Short. In her position, Ms. Sands manages grantee relations, contributes to internal projects, and supports and informs program strategy.
Ms. Sands came to the Corporation from IBM, where she was a business and technology consultant, primarily working with public sector clients in the United Kingdom and commercial sector clients in the United States. She also taught entry-level consulting, specializing in relationship management and communication and presentations. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Education from the University of Cambridge (U.K.), where she studied policy, development, and democratic education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and English from Tulane University.
