Director, Information Technology and Office Services
Robert Rosenthal leads the Information Technology and Office Services functions at Carnegie Corporation of New York.
Mr. Rosenthal came to the Corporation from the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, where he served as Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, he worked at Newsday Media Group for sixteen years, culminating in his tenure as their Chief Technology Officer. During his time at Newsday, he was introduced to philanthropy as a volunteer member of Newsday Charities. The experience resonated with him, leading to his interest in transitioning to the not-for-profit sector. His earlier work experience included ten years at J.P. Morgan in various financial systems roles. Mr. Rosenthal started his career at PwC, as a staff accountant.
He earned his MBA in Management Information Systems and BBA in Accounting, with a minor in Economics, from Hofstra University. Mr. Rosenthal is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Rosenthal is currently the Treasurer for the Technology Affinity Group, an organization of philanthropy, technology professionals. He has served for fourteen years as a member of the Endowment Fund Committee for Hope House Ministries, which is dedicated to providing compassionate care “to the poor, the wounded, and the marginal among us” on Long Island.
