Megan Benay is a program analyst in the Corporation's Education program, where she supports the New Designs to Advance Learning portfolio, managing grantee relations, contributing to internal projects, and informing program strategy.
Benay has an extensive background in education and leadership. Prior to joining the Corporation she worked for six years at a public elementary school in New York City, serving as a special education teacher, music teacher, and administrative intern. An alumna of the NYC Teaching Fellows program and Teachers College Summer Principals Academy, she holds a BA in psychology from the University of Vermont’s Honors College, an MEd in organizational leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an MS in education from Hunter College. In order to gain an understanding of education systems outside of the U.S., Benay recently traveled to Chile to work for the United Nations Development Programme and the Chilean Ministry of Education as an English teacher through the English Opens Doors Program.
