As chief investment officer, Kim Y. Lew is responsible for the investment management and oversight of the Corporation’s endowment.
Prior to joining the Corporation, Lew spent 13 years at the Ford Foundation, first as a portfolio strategist investing in public technology stocks and then as a senior manager in the private capital group investing in venture capital and private equity funds. Before joining Ford, she invested in private placements at Prudential Capital and was a credit analyst in the middle market banking group at Chemical Bank.
Lew earned a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business. She is a CFA charterholder and served as both a standard setter and grader for the CFA exam.
Lew volunteers as the board chair of the Stevens Cooperative School. She serves on the mutual fund board of Ariel Investments and the board of trustees of Girls Who Invest and TIFF Advisory Services. She also serves on the investment committees of the ACLU and Wesleyan University.
