Karim Kamel is a program analyst with the Corporation’s International Peace & Security program, where he focuses on strengthening nuclear security.
Before joining the Corporation in 2015, Mr. Kamel was a program associate at the Conflict Prevention and Peace Forum of the Social Science Research Council. Prior to that, he worked as an external relations consultant at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization. Mr. Kamel holds a Master of Arts in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at San Jose State University. He also attended The American University in Cairo. Mr. Kamel currently sits on the steering committee of the Middle East Next Generation of Arms Control Specialists Network.
