Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary
As the chief administrative officer (CAO) and corporation secretary, Ellen Bloom supports the mission, objectives, and priorities of the Corporation by leading and managing Human Resources, Information Technology, Grants Management, Facilities, and trustee relations.
Ms. Bloom has 23 years of human resources experience in the corporate world. She spent 20 years with American Express, where her most recent position was Senior Vice President of Global Talent responsible for Global Diversity; Learning Systems; Executive Development; and Retention, Staffing, and Leadership Effectiveness. Prior to that, she worked in a number of global business units at American Express, as a senior generalist partnering with the business leaders to drive high growth results. She began her career in human resources at R.H. Macys with positions as employment manager and labor relations manager.
Ms.Bloom has a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a JD from New York Law School. She lives in New York.
