2. Q: If your organization is based in the U.S., is it a nonprofit organization designated as 501(c) (3) by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service? Or, if your organization is based in a qualifying foreign country, is it a nongovernmental organization, governmental unit, or university?

Yes: go on to the next question.

No: The Corporation makes grants primarily to U.S. nonprofit organizations and foreign NGOs and universities. The Corporation will not consider proposals for loans or financial aid to for-profit businesses or to individuals for personal charitable pursuits, tuition, school books, personal business pursuits or professional development.
