Robert J. Seman
Chief Financial Officer

Robert J. Seman is Director of Finance for Carnegie Corporation of New York responsible for the accounting, budgeting and financial reporting of the Corporation. For the past eighteen years, Seman has prepared and maintained the financial records that account for the investment and expense activities of the foundation. They include public records like the Internal Revenue Service's 990-PF forms and the annual audit. Previously, Seman served the Corporation as Controller.

Prior to joining the Corporation, Seman was chief accountant at the Rockefeller Foundation where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the comptroller's office, including accounts payable, payroll and accounting for grants. He joined Rockefeller in the mid-80s as a staff accountant and implemented new general ledger and payroll software systems. Seman also worked as an accountant for Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, the City of Yonkers Department of Water and at Tork Incorporated.

Seman earned a B.S. in accounting and finance from Mercy College. He and his wife have two sons.
