Robichaud
Program Officer, International Peace and Security
Carl
Robichaud comes to Carnegie Corporation with a decade of experience
in policy analysis and implementation on issues of international
and nuclear security.
Before joining Carnegie, he was a Program Officer at The Century
Foundation, writing extensively on nonproliferation and counterterrorism
policy. At Century, he founded the Afghanistan Watch program and
was its director for three years. During this time he authored,
edited, and contributed to numerous publications on international
security, including Breaking the Nuclear Impasse: New Prospects
for Security against Weapons Threats (2007). Previously, Robichaud
was a program officer with the Global Security Institute where he
coordinated programs on arms control and disarmament.
Robichaud holds an M.P.A in public policy and international affairs
from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and a B.A.
from Wesleyan University. He is a 1999 Thomas J. Watson fellow and
a 2003 Harold W. Rosenthal fellow for international affairs and
security at the Stimson Center and the Council on Foreign Relations.
His media appearances include CNN and the BBC, and his work has
appeared in various online and print publications. He lives in Brooklyn
with his wife, Elsie Kagan, a painter.
